Donggu was the main battlefield for the first, second, and third anti-encirclement and suppression campaigns. On December 30, 1930, the Battle of Longgang ended and the Red Army won a complete victory. The former enemy commander Zhang Huizhan was captured alive, 9,000 enemies were captured, and more than 8,000 guns were handed in. The first anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign ended successfully.
The second anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign was launched in April 1931. Mao Zedong led a Red Army of 30,000 people to gather around Donggu, sweeping 700 miles in 15 days and smashing the 200,000 Kuomintang army's attack on the Soviet area. The first battle against "encirclement and suppression" was fought in Donggu: the Battle of Baiyun Mountain. In this campaign, more than 2,000 enemy troops were killed and injured, 4,000 were captured, more than 3,000 guns were handed in, one radio station, and Gong Bingfan, the commander of the 28th Division, was captured alive. The campaign was fought from Jiangxi to Fujian, annihilating more than 30,000 enemies and surrendering more than 20,000 guns, laying the foundation for the development of the Soviet area. Mao Zedong was full of joy about this, and wrote the magnificent poem "The Fisherman's Proud Anti-Second Encirclement and Suppression" in the gap between the horses and the horses: "The clouds above the Baiyun Mountain want to stand, the voices under the Baiyun Mountain are urgent, and the dead trees and the trees are working together. The guns were forced, and the flying generals entered the sky with their own weight. On the fifteenth day of the seven hundred li drive, the vast river of Ganshui and the green mountains swept across the thousands of troops. Some people were crying, how can it be for the camp!
The final battle of the third anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign was very beautiful. It was a blockade in Donggu Cube. On September 15, 1931, the main force of the Red Army was divided into three groups from Xingguo and Taihe to Fangshiling, laying a net around the sky, and completely annihilating Han Qinde's entire division and Jiang Dingwen's remaining army. A total of thousands of enemies were wiped out. This was the third anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaign. "A happy ending was drawn!
"Wan Mu Shuangtian is red and bright, and the heavenly soldiers are angry at Xiao Han. The fog is full of Longgang and Qianzhang, and they called out in unison, and Zhang Huizhan was caught in front. Two hundred thousand troops returned to Jiangxi, and the wind and smoke billowed in the sky. Aroused millions of workers and peasants, Work with one heart, not chaos under the red flag." Standing on the land of Donggu, what a great man Mao Zedong is, the passion and joy in his heart permeated the mountains and ridges of Donggu. He chanted this moving poem with a steady stream of gunfire.
